Mixed. A detailed TFW2005 review liked only the chest fillers and Megatron gun (floppy thrusters, hip skirts limit movement, unpainted face) and called it poor value; other owners found it fairly competent, rated the head highly, and said not worth full price but fine on sale. Several prefer NB-01.

TFW2005 owners comparing the replacement arms call NB-01 the best engineered (the shoulder folds down and secures the cannon in truck mode), though one had to shave the shoulder corners for clearance.

A TFW2005 reviewer calls the SL-198 replacement smokestacks their favourite upgrade for this figure: print quality good enough not to look 3D printed, with better friction.
